One of our biggest goals this year at KMSC is to satisfy any kind of live music need at MSUM. We would like to publicly announce that we have several experienced DJs ready to prepare and play professional-level DJ sets to suit the needs of any dance or gathering. We would encourage any group or organization who needs a live DJ to think of Dragon Radio first and send us an email at kmscdragonradio@gmail.com. Attention DJ’s! We had a couple of great new things happen at the KMSC Station over spring break!
First, we put in a brand new recording booth in the production room, complete with new microphones! This will allow us to have high quality recording for whatever we want to do – if it’s new bumps, liners, or my personal favorite… Radio Theatre! (Anyone interested should contact Jason, the Station Manager, about being in a Radio Theatre production!)
Second, we have a new dropbox for reviewing music on the office door. This is a calling out to all you DJ’s – we really need your help reviewing music, and while it’s been difficult getting music handed back in the past, now it’s as simple as dropping it off! You can see any heads of staff to check out music, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on the great new music we get here at KMSC.
Lastly, we’re working on getting audio/video streaming up and running. This is still a work in progress, but we’ve currently got streams running to Livestream and UStream. We’re working on a Justin.tv stream as well! Anyone with questions should see a head of staff or Andy for more details.

Hey DJ’s!
Music labels are constantly sending us new albums from all different artists to reveiw and play on the air here at KMSC. In fact, we get sent to many albums that I can’t listen and reveiw them all and still have time to breathe. So I’m enlisting you! Stop by the music director’s office during office hours (which are posted on my whiteboard on my door) to pick up a CD to revieiw for the station. Doing so will ensure that we are getting brand new music every week in the station for shows! Also, we recive music from all different genres, so if you’re a metalhead, a jazz guru, or a techno wizard, let me know! You’re expertise will be much appreciated to the DJ’s and listeners of KMSC!
