Top 5 Adds 4/13/2015

1. Majesty Da God – The Apollo EP
Genre: Rap, Hip Hop
RIYL: Jay-Z, Kanye, Kendrick Lamar
Some great rap tracks on this album. My personal favorite would have to be the last song, which uses lyrics from the Britney Spears’ song “Toxic.” Now, I know not all of you are Britney fans, especially my rap guys, but trust me, it’s sick! Has a Kanye West, eerie, church vibe to it.

2. Stone Sour – Meanwhile In Burbank
Genre: Alternative Rock
RIYL: Shinedown, Sick Puppies, Korn, Drowning Pool
This band is a little blast from my past. Anybody else listen to their song “Through Glass” like 10 plus years ago? Who knew they were still making music! And good music, I should add! Has a good hard rock feel to it with the power guitars and edgy vocals.

3. Garden City Movement- Modern West
Genre: Electronica
RIYL: Glass Animals, Caribou, Ryan Hemsworth
We got their EP in last year and I was so stoked to see that we got their new album! Every track is catchy and I swear for a minute, I thought I was listening to Glass Animals! Chill, electronic music that puts you in a daze.

4. Pocket Panda- This Arrangement of Molecules
Genre: Indie Folk Rock
RIYL: Snow Patrol, Lumineers, The National
Some good vibes coming from this album! Think of yourself lost in a meadow of tall, gently blowing grass as the sun is beating down on you or going on a road trip through the mountains as it lightly snows, with a good friend. This album is the soundtrack to those experiences! Atleast, those are the images I picture when listening to the album haha.

5. Tom West – Oncoming Clouds
Genre: Folk, Singer Songwriter
RIYL: Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, Alt-J
If the Lumineers and Alt-J had a baby together, Tom West would be it! Very similar vocals to Joe Newman of Alt-J, but more of a folky vibe like the Lumineers. Every song gives you the feels. Chilling next to a fireplace on a cold winters day with hot chocolate and your bae is what this album is the soundtrack to. Great homework music as well!
